Many years ago I learned, and subsequently partially forgot a poem which began :
'Driving a Autumn nightfall through lost and hedgebound lanes, You suddenly switch on your headlights, And reveal the image of your world.
'A tunnelled brightness carved from the dark, An insulated and neon-lighted tunnel. Mobile and self-contained, Subdued to your single and athletic purpose.'
I don't know the answer to your question, but you might try contacting the poetry library at the South Bank - the website is http://www.poetrylibrary.org.uk will have the address and phone numbers in the About Us section. They do have a way to search for text in poems and are very helpful
