Any Suggestions for a Good Read?

Hi, I am going into hospital for an operation shortly, and wonder if anyone could suggest some good reading whilst I am "incarcerated?" I love Stephen King, Richard Laymon, Robin Cook, but hate soppy love tomes. Any ideas for similar authors please? Cheers

you should try James Herbert and/or Peter James. I've read everything by Peter James and his earlier work is the best.
Read an old one of his a couple of weeks ago called "sweetheart" that scared the Bejesus out of me

depending on how long you are gonna be in and getting better after you get out kim you could try the necroscope series by brian lumley. Theres over a dozen books in the series but you dont have to read them all just make sure you read in order lol

I like the authors you mentioned but havent really read anything by them since discovering brian lumley lol

You'd be amaze how interesting reading palms can be. I recommend you try it !

Start with 'Killing Floor' by Lee Child, and then devour the other eleven books in the series.

Don't have to read in order, but it wil help understanding background characterisation.

Should keep you busy!

Harlan Coben - Tell no-one was brilliant as the others have said Karin Slaughter is good.

I love Clive Barker's books. They are weird like Stephen King's stuff but he's an excellent writer.

Hope ur out of hospital now and all is well.......I love Jeffrey Archers books and plan my hols accordingly. His latest, A Prisoner of Birth has just been put on general release but not in paper-back yet. Soon as I get it am off to the beach and sun beds.

All his books are a great read.....plenty on ebay!
