How many bronze medals are presented for each boxing category? The reason I ask is because the other day when a few of the Irish boxers won their fights it meant they were guaranteed bronze medals even if they lost their next fight, and if they won the next fight they went on to fight for silver or gold in the next fight after that. By my reckoning that means that their must be two bronze medals issued, one to each fighter from the semi finals. Is this correct?

Yes
Yes. It's always been the case that there is no bout for the bronze. Both losing semi-finalists receive one.
