This is an extract from Nelly Richards book called ' Cultural Residues'. My girlfriend always cites this as how she sees love. I do not fully understand it. Is anyone familiar with this? 'countering the monotony of the thesis that only concerns itself in the verifying of the indifferent law of a neutral nondifferentiation of value is the arbitrariness of "desiring" passionately enveloped in the for no good reason of amorous, aesthetic and cultural dislocation'

Intellectual rubbish, put that way to mystify the masses( you and me) and to sell books that (in Plain English) would be exposed as trite, lacking in worth, and boring.
That's only my opinion however! LOL
PS:~
Another translation of "Cultural Residues" might be ~ the cr@p people sh!t on others!
It was Winston Churchill that stated "...short words are best and the old words when short are best of all..."

Writers, such as your example, view thenselves as culturally elitie and believe they enhance their self-esteem by being verbose to the extreme. As already stated, they really don't have much to say and use a lot of multi-syllabic words to prove that point...
Brilliant post KD - and it fooled a few people. Hilarious.
Mmmm-lol...looks like one of those cases where the chimps were left in charge of the keyboard.
