Going to start reading Dickie Birds My Autobiography tomorrow, reason its his birthday April 19th born 1933.There is 479 pages .Just finished Harry Redknapps 'arry 256 pages took me 6 weeks so should be finished some time early July . Harry was born 2nd March day i started it .Does anyone know of any good autobiographys of interesting people born in mid July .I live an exciting life dont I .

I almost met Dickie once! We were at an outdoor event he was star guest at and I had raved at how I wanted to meet him, anyhoo fast forward to end of outdoor event and we were heading home but I needed to spend a penny in the portaloo, My family waited for me and I could hear them talking then suddenly realised they were talking to Dickie!!!! Of course by time I came out he was gone, but they did get his autograph for me! :o)

Finished the book today.It was okay .He came over if you will excuse the pun as a nice man .Would have like a bit more in depth in some of the incidents he mentioned.Now going to read Grahame Bradley the jockey's book .Have any of the Abers heard of or read Bringing down the house by Ben Mezrich cant decide if it is fact or fiction .Hav eread the first couple of chapters and wondering if I should persist with it .Will start Bradleys book at the week end .Dont know when his birthday is though
