Is Brooks Baekeland still alive?

Hello there asquith,
I think someone posted a brief answer to your question when you asked it last July?
Since then nobody seems to have been able (or willing) to update your query.
I have had a Google search,but to no avail.
There is plenty on his wife Barbara and son Tony (mainly due to the movie) but nothing about Brooks.
As Barbara would be 87 (if alive) we can assume Brooks would be the same age or older?
He isn't listed at "Find A Grave" but this may be because he is not famous enough,or because he is still alive.
However,if he is I would have expected more to be listed about him.
I shall keep your question in mind,and if I find any further information I will post it for you.

I'm sorry I haven't replied sooner but the e-mails were classed as Junk. I also spent ages on the Internet trying to track BB down. His father and grandfather both developed senile dementia and in SG BB mentions his fear of it. I wonder if that's what has happened to him and we won't hear of him again until he dies then hopefully there will be an obituary.
