Style Models
2 Answers
Hello :) I need some style models (examples) on the following, can anyone find any?
1. A Magazine Article on a TV Programme, e.g. X Factor
2. A Newspaper Article on children in Britain today are seen as 'bad', e.g. the riots, however are they really that bad? Children such as young carers and Children of Courage at the Pride of Britain Awards etc.
Thank you Answer Bank :) x

When I studied for my journalism qualificatio n we had to find our style models the hard way! (i.e. by scouring lots of newspapers). However I'll give you some clues as to how to do it on the internet:
What you really need to know is how to do a 'site specific' search on Google. For example, try searching with the following line:
"x factor"...

What you really need to know is how to do a 'site specific' search on Google. For example, try searching with the following line:
"x factor" site:telegraph.co.uk
(which searches for all 'x factor' references but only on the Daily Telegraph website)
Using that search I quickly found this:
http://www.telegraph....ctor-ITV1-review.html
Then try this search enquiry:
children riots site:guardian.co.uk
Using that search I came across this straight away:
http://www.guardian.c...s-kids-parents-police
Next, try this search string:
"children of courage" site:mirror.co.uk
With that I found this:
http://blogs.mirror.c...h-national-pride.html
While my web finds might not exactly meet your needs, I hope that I've shown you how you can easily find loads more possibilities.
