Yes read those too but I like the crosswordy sections in Inspector Morse.
At one time I thought Noddy was quite good (racism notwithstanding)but I've moved on from there and have read so many other books( not all by Enid Blyton) that I couldn't possibly pick one, as my taste has changed with time.
As a child i really enjoyed Roald Dahl, and still as an adult i get the same childish enjoyment when i read them to my Nephews. The HArry Potter series is also a particular favourite, they got me the same why that Dahl did, took me away from this world for each hour when i read it.
I've never read Roald Dhal, but I read Hans Anderson - and Grimms Fairy Tales. Scary stuff.
The childrens book, Black Hearts in Battersea by Joan Aiken.I still have it and I prefered her books to Enid Blyton. Anyone else read her books as a child?
