Any artists out there?!

Having sorted Mr BM's birthday present from me (see technology). I now need to sort Mr BM's present from his son.
At school and college he loved art and was quite good. He has expressed a wish to take up painting again (oils).
What should I buy to give him everything he needs to make a start?

I'm in Peterborough (although Sibton is right, I do spend a lot of time in Norfolk - and Suffolk and Cambridgeshire). Mr BM isn't a beginner - he went to art college for a bit before changing over to chartered surveying (he decided he could probably make more money as a chartered surveyor!).

Thankyou DT. I'll consider classes for him - trouble is, it has to fit in round child care and my work (my work comes first due to the fact that I pay the bills round here). We've spent most of the day looking at all sorts of paintings (we did go looking for a display cabinet for my little collection, but ended up looking at paintings instead - I could see him churning things over in his mind). If I can find them, I'll post some pics of some of his artwork which were turned into postcards.
Owdhammer, funnily enough he mentioned painting again today. So I did say there's a bucket of paint in the garage, you can get on with the bedroom tomorrow. I also threatened to do some painting myself - that should be enough to make him get on with it.

We have a couple of great printers down here for reproducing art work - you need Giclier printing and this you will love, Barmaid. Giclier apparently means tomcat spray in French, but it produces the very fine detail that I need on my drawings. Here's mine: http://www.monkeypuzzleart.co.uk/links.php Worth unearthing somebody who has this type of equipment near you.....or you can always get back in touch with me....
