My latest drawing - almost there, just want to check the sun/shadow tomorrow and perhaps a little more shading emphasis on the terrace. It's an old Victorian schoolhouse that a local oil services co has taken over and restored/converted into rather swish offices inside, suspended floors and all that. I wish that local/national government, of whatever persuasion, would adapt policies to help companies take on our old civic buildings and do what these folk have done in breathing use and life back into them. In town centres, it would help with regeneration.
This is a commission and then will be off to be cleaned and to the scanner.....I have done very little this year, the work on a web site having consumed the opportunities, that and the weather recently.

I thought that I was going mad at first. The edge of the kerb is also curved, mainly down to the left, the apex in front of the main right window.
Thanks all...they got very little financial assistance actually - it's a local company doing very well and they are making a small fortune at the moment, following the Bank Holiday helicopter accident in the N.Sea - they manufacture specialist baskets for people and kit to go between the supply ships and the oil rigs and, understandably, have been somewhat stretched.
Yes, I have thought too about those past generations educated there. Far better this use than what was there before, a decaying building, part of it used as a Honda lawn mower centre. I feel quite strongly about such 'encouragement' of use of our civic buildings and there's far more that could be done to turn old houses and shops in town centres back into (quality - to the target market) residences and, in doing so, encourage more small shops, restaurants, bars etc, rather than seeing them decay, or chewing up more green countryside for new-builds.
