Best Autobiography/biography?

What's the best autobiography/biography you have read.
My two choices are David Niven's The Moon's a Balloon, (a bit old I know but an excellent read) and Alan Johnson's This Boy.

Have yet to read Alan Johnson's yet, but looking forward to it. The David Niven one is a bit too show business for me though.

On the whole I'm more of a fiction man.

I know what some people might say. But Roy "Chubby" Brown is a very good read.
I also read a Sid James biography a few years back which didn't exactly do him any favours.

David Bowie's was a good read.

Mine will be a blockbuster but...have to wait 'till my parents have gone to heaven before I fess up !

God Loves a Trier - James Cowell (autobiography).

Cracks in the Ceiling - John Cowell (autobiography).

Broken Biscuits - John Cowell (biography of John's mother).

The fact that James is my dad and John is my uncle, has not influenced me or made me bias in any way whatsoever :)

Tyler Hamilton's The Secret Race, all about his early life and what really happened at US Postal and the Lance Armstrong doping scandal and The Fry Chronicles by (obviously) Stephen Fry.
Frank Skinner's was very good too.

Chilldoubt..... Bjarne Riis' book is pretty good too if your after cycling bios, The Maitre Jaques book is a bit of an eye opener

I found Keith Richards' quite amusing.

Dennis "Spike" Mullins' "Me, To Name But A Few" has many great anecdotes. He wrote Ronnie Corbett's monologues (to be followed by David Fenwick).

Not strictly an autobiography but 'Angela's Ashes' is a wonderful book.
