A sort of follow on from my "anyone else got that flat feeling" thread below.
Just trying to put things in perspective here, its so easy to be negative but it takes a little work to be thankful, so what was good about the last year for you?
For myself...

I have made 3 new (email) friends right here on AB
I recieved a VERY generous and unexpected xmas gift from a fellow ABer.
I made a new real life friend (through another friend of mine) who I now feel has been my mate for a lifetime.
I have finished my probation order without ending up back in court.
My mum has been given the all clear after beating breast cancer
My brother in law has likewise beat lung cancer.
I have bought a new tv after winning 200 quid on the irish lottery (600 between my mum, niece and myself)

Other stuff as well, just trying to be a bit positive here.
what about you?

Well... No.2 son moved a little closer so he is only an hour's drive away instead of 3.
OH started getting his pension which eased a lot of financial pressure so...
We were able to make our first trip to visit No.2 son who lives in Hamburg.
Part of my family returned from overseas.

My health stayed stable.

I had a few months staying with someone special.

My grandchildren continued to make me very proud.

I got a winter electric bill that was in credit!

Can't complain and usually don't.:-)
a first grandchild, a new girlfriend in the family ( a keeper ) :)
^ should be "No.1 son who lives in Hamburg"!
I suppose we survived, had a holiday with son in London and had fun at the races in September
Had some great holidays and enjoyed time with family and friends.

Enjoyed good health and a good job.

I was bought a book for a Christmas pressie it is about an incident that involved some ancestors of mine, I emailed the author and she is coming to visit me tomorrow morning. So something that started in 2014 is carrying on into 2015.
Made some real friends in here.
25years married without either of us wringing each others necks.
Managed a Christmas at home!!
Fractured my ankle, in two places - negative. Bought myself a new home, no longer have a mortgage - positive. Dated someone who turned out to be a. complete tool - negative. Daughter flies home in 10 days for good - positive.
That sounds exciting, Tony. Were they military?
Not these particular ancestors, Psybbo.
Had a lovely holiday in July and made some great friends.
Met up with my dad whom I hadn't seen in ten years, and met his lovely wife for the first time.
Nothing else really sticks out in my mind for 2014. I'm hoping this year will be a bit more exciting
A particular hurdle I overcame in 2014 was going to the dentist finally after several years of neglect and pain. There were lots of appointments but now I have a smile I like. Oh and I got married (after 15 years as an OH/gf/partner :-)
I finally sold my house in France. Not only were we freed of trying to maintain 2 houses and grounds, after 4 years very hard slog (mine had 2 hectares of which 1 was a wood, but the rest had to be mown and it was 40Km away) but I had enough money to buy in UK and get us back. OH's pad is now for sale (very cheap) if anyone wants a pad near to the Val de Vienne circuit.

OH's cancer was finally diagnosed and lifted out, after my muttering for months.

Early in the year I had another short story published. My nagging and worsening hip pain was sorted after a successful hip replacement.

All in all, a lot of positives (don't think about the negatives is good advice).
Family made me proud.
I am still here!
On the positive side, friends on this site make such a difference. I wish them all a great 2015
Same as psybbs. Great people here x
My mum died (yes that was a good thing)
No tears then, Daffy.
None for my mum Tony, I did cry because my daughters were upset though, I find it difficult to see them that way even though they are adults.
