Why have you put this is Arts & Literature? Think you might get a better response in another section. Sorry I can't help.
Prussian Blue dries slightly darker than Ultramarine.
Yes agreed with Dizmo - Prussian Blue will dry darker.
Also agree with above. Prussian blue is a darker and duller blue, ultramarine is a more vibrant brighter blue although the difference seems subtle
Prussian Blue, if you want to go even darker, put a smidge of Paynes Grey or black in it and stir in....the former works better for skies, water etc
Agree with DTC.
Question Author
Many Thanks Dizmo, Retro, Prudie, Jourdain and DTC of whom I ask the question, did you mean Paynes Grey with the Prussian Blue for skies and water?
Yes, experiment a bit - remember that water colour is affected by the sky.

big smile to you

Do you still have your painting website up and running? I visited it a couple of years back.

I hope that you are well

Wolf
yes and experiment as jourdain says, preparing you before you go to canvas, paper, board whatever.....
Question Author
Many Thanks for that DTC, but it was more just confirmation of which dries darker, as I can no longer do gradation in colour, but will probably come down to application and highlighting some sticky-out brushstrokes - or impasto if you like - but Many Thanks - and Hi Wolf, a great big wavy smile to thee too.
Question Author
Sorry Wolf, I forgot - yes, my site is still up, but it aint done any runnin' for quite a while, which translates into I aint done any painting for quite a while - well, not any completed ones; yet!
