Was telling son today how I loved Grimm's Tales, and Hans Christian Andersen as a child.
I tried to tell him about one tale that involved the King asking a young man who wanted his daughter's hand, to bring him something no-one had ever seen before.
The young man subsequently brough an egg, and opened it to show the King a yolk no-one HAD seen
Any clue on the tale please ?
No Cupid, the suitors who wanted the Princess' hand had to prove things to the King, one of the challenges was that the suitor had to show the King something NO ONE had ever seen, hence cracking open the egg shell to show the previously unseen raw egg inside.
(Beginning to think I have made this up now, ROFL.)
