fountain pens

why is it that whenever i use a fountain pen,after a couple of days it seems to dry up? There is plenty of ink but it just doesnt seem to flow.It happens with all fountain pens i use.Is it because they are cheap pens?Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

Yes I find the same problem, either that or they leak in your bag. Mr W has a very tasty Mont Blanc pen which neither dries up not leaks, I had a nice Cross till I lost it :-(

I have several fountain pens, but keep a Parker in my bag for everyday use. It never leaks in my bag & the only time it dries up, is if I get side tracked for a while & forget to put the top back on!
