The series follows the life of Miles Vorkosigan, who has been damaged before birth, because of an attack meant for his father. Despite the fact that his whole world puts emphises (sp?) on being warriors he manages to make something of his life.
The series starts with his parents meeting and getting together and by now (about 11 books in) Miles has turned 30. I coyuldn't possibly explain how amazingly well they are written. And the characters!! Oh It's just amazing! I couldn't possibley do them justice, I've sat on the bus and roared out load with laughter and sobbed in the corner, (usually in the same book) Sorry I love them lol.
What kind/ who's sci-fi do you like?

Sounds interesting. I've read a lot of Asimov recently. Completed the Foundation series, and also read a book with a load of his robot stories. (eg. with Susan Calvin in). Also read some of Arthur C Clarke's stories. Not read all of the Space Odyssey, but I completed the Rama series (excellent IMO). Also read a few of his older stories, which although a little optomistic about finding life, were decades ahead of their time. Also reading the Saga of Seven Suns series by Kevin J Anderson. Not to some peoples liking, but the story shifts from character to character and stories and people cross path throughout each book. Little mysteries are slowly eroded as time goes on and personally, I race through every chapter to get to the next part of the book to find out what has happened to characters left earlier in the book.
Now trying to expand my horizons a bit, and find some other good sci-fi authors.
