What To Do With Old National Geographic Magazines?

My parents have both passed away and we are in the process of emptying the contents of their house. There are some things that have no financial value but seem a shame to throw out. For example we have a lot ie maybe 30 or 40 National Geographic magazines which are in good condition. I know that they could be recycled, but what might be a better way to put them to good use? I was thinking of a reading library somewhere, but where?
All suggestions welcome.
Thanks

I don't know if this is a thought, Shivvy......I had a huge pile of This England magazines.
I took them to school and though they were mainly cut up and used for projects and displays before being recycled they were much appreciated....x
Some charity shops sell bundles of National Geographic magazines. (I've bought some myself).
Oxfam's book shops will be more than happy to take these magazines.
Try Freecycle for things you don't want but are too good for the tip.
My OH had the same problem. He put them outside his house with a Help Yourself note. They soon went. Depends on if this is possible where you live. Good luck.
