I'm not offering BTW, just asking.
This would be my choice for a bit of light reading.

The laughing priest by Harry Wills, been out of circulation for many years, read it many many years ago.
I have to buy my own present from my husband. I'm looking forward to opening the Michelle Obama book.
That looks interesting, tonyav.

I was wondering what to get my husband. He's very difficult to buy for, but I happened to see a review of Derek Pringle's (cricketer) autobiography in the paper today. My husband loves cricket and only reads auto/biographies - so sorted.
Jobs a gud un then, jo.
The Black Obelisk by Eric Maria Remarque. Haven't read it for years and Circe by Madeline Miller, (our library is closed at the moment - being made into a 'smart' one).

Oh good some interesting choices thank you. I'll check them out later. Tony I want to start listening instead of reading but can you just pop in and out of Audible and get the odd book or do you have to pay a subscription? Haven't got time to read the info at the mo as having three different text conversations on my phone with workmen due this week. Sorry.
