Does anyone remember a children's programme called Twizzle, about a little wooden puppet boy who could twizzle his arms and legs and make them longer? I was scared s******s thinking he could get in my bedroom window. He had a cat called Footso, and the song went 'miaow, miaow, purr, purr, I'm the cat with the silkiest fur'

Brilliant, I knew I hadn't imagined it. Just won't be able to sleep tonight ......

Yes,lankeela,I remember Twizzle!...still with fear!!!..It was always a dark kinda screen too,and I have a memory of him being in a cage or something. There was a real feeling of menace about Twizzle, that I never forgot!!....I've obviously been traumatised lol !!

Ooo we posted together!!!
The first episode of Twizzle is on DVD with another series scripted by Roberta Liegh, "Space Patrol".

Thanks for that tonymclark - but I WON'T be putting it on my Christmas list!

Yes, I remember it. In fact I often say 'I'm not Twizzle' if someone asks me to reach for something that is clearly out of my reach! If they don't remember it, they think I'm mad!!

The first production of the great Gerry Anderson. Go here for more info (and all other Anderson shows)
