I shall watch it tomorrow, I remember most, the husband showing off his set of the complete works of Shakespeare saying, "Of course, you can't read them"
Not sure if it was by design or accidental but one of the neighbours has a chain near her Adam's apple and when she speaks, the heart(?) on the chain flaps up and down.
was wanting to see some your answers as I recall sister saying she thought it was fantastic, but I had put it on some years back for like 10 minutes but said "I'll try some other time". Don't think I will enjoy it.
JJ, in today's world, it may seem a bit dated, but I like to watch programmes from the past. Especially children's programmes. It was so exciting to get a black and white television then (never mind colour). Our favourites were Watch with Mother. The Woodentops, Andy Pandy, Muffin the Mule, Tales from the riverbank etc but our favourite was always Picture Book.
in the original, saying the red wine was being chilled was a sign of gaucheness.
Along the line, however, snobs suddenly started to realise that the French were fine with chilling red wine, so the line was hastily removed from more recent productions. It isn't easy being a snob!
Does anyone remember another classic, Tales of the Unexpected? I loved it. As far as I can remember, it was shown on a Friday night at 10pm. I used to wait up to watch it, but as I was usually sent to bed for 9pm I used to fall asleep and always missed the ending.

I have lived, worked, & visited France many (many) times & I've never been offered a glass of chilled red wine.
