What are these called?

They are a depiction of a scene...the same as a painting but made into model form in normally in a glass case. There's a lovely example of one depicting a small town bar in America hanging over the horseshoe bar at Smollenkys on the Strand.I think they're absolutely fascinating,can someone please tell me what they're called,or even better direct me to site where I can view,or even possibly purchase some?

Something of that nature is often called a diorama here in the U.S.
Yep - Diorama would be the same in the UK too.
