Just go down to your local library and borrow some children's books.

From personal experience I highly recommend Dogger, by Shirley Hughes.

Why 'on line'? I'm baffled. Three Little Pigs, The Ugly Duckling, etc., etc.. Hundreds of them. Just get a book of stories.
