Is this to do with terry Pratchett?
are these quiz questions? you could try posting them under Quizzes and Puzzles
It might be something to do with Rembrandt's painting of 1642, which wasn't originally called The Night Watch and only gained that name in the 19th Century.
If it is to do with Rembrandts painting they were called "The
Company of Frans Banning Cocq and Willem van Ruytenburch" a group of Dutch civic militia known as Kloveniers.

There was also this awful film on the same subject.

Incidentally even if you hate viewing paintings, and for anyone planning to visit Amsterdam in the future, go to see this picture. It's in the Rijksmuseum and its massive! You will be impressed !

Forgive my nitpicking, please, shaneystar, but the original title was "The Military Company of Captain Frans Banning Cocq and Lieutenant Willem van Ruytenburgh", and here they are.

Jolly sorry about that Tatty and .... I must try harder.(New Years resolution) Having seen this painting several times when I lived in Holland you would think I should know better.!! Happy New Year and keep up the good work.
Thanks, shaney, and a Very Happy New Year to you.
