If you use either or both of those terms in your written word, do you ever use them in your speech?

I see it a lot online, never heard anyone say it with the exception of tv and film.

I say it all the time - usually prefaced by "Gadzooks"!😃

My 3 yr old granddaughter says me instead of I.

If I tell her she's a cheeky monkey, she'll say, 'Me not a cheeky monkey.'

I have heard it said normally in the same sentence as Gosh!

I can't criticise, really.  I say 'ticketyboo' when I'm asked how I am, such a glorious bouncy word.  I also say 'oh, my word' when I hear bad/sad news and 'blerdy', usually preceded by 'those' and followed by 'idiots'. 

I never swear in conversation but I do have a favourite swear word I say when I'm exasperated with myself.

No expert but I don't believe the second is gramatically correct. The first I use very occasionally, since it is only appropriate on the odd occasion.

methinks does not mean "I think".

It means "it seems to me".

"I think" and "Methinks" are essentially the same. The latter is an 'old-fashioned' way of saying the former.

BTW, I doubt if "latter" and "former" turn up much in everyday parlance. Whereas "like" and "Euh?" are widespread.

Atheist, I answered a question a few days ago when someone online asked was it the former or the latter.

Perhaps not used often in everyday conversation.
