The Decamerón featured plague in Italy.

Did Covid give writers the space to pen something that will stand the test of time?

Probably not a work of literature in the true sense, but my daughter kept a daily diary.  She actually worked all through lockdown and put down thoughts, conversations etc.

I'm sure that will be of interest to future historians.

There is Defoe's A Journal of the Plague Year...though it was not written until years later. He was a child in 1685. I guess it's actually a work of historical fiction...though he's said to have researched it.

Isn't there a book - "Love in a time of cholera" or summat?

I've not read it, might catch something.

Again no claim to literary merit but I challenged myself to write and post ( on facebook) a poem every day of lockdown... Some days it was a struggle some days I could have written two or three, did the second lockdown as well
