Not so much Biographies, but Auto-Biographies, David Nivens 'The Moons a Balloon', and Bring on the Empty Horses'. if you can get them, absorbing reading.

Well I love autobiography of a one-year-old (although strictly speaking it's fictional and not a biography), and one of my favourite books of all time is 'A Million Little Pieces' which is an autobiographical novel by James Frey

its a bit of tired answer but you should really read Mr Nice by Howard Marks.
