I recently started 35 mm photography and would like to receive any tips on how to take nice clear shots.....Something like the beautiful National Geographic photographs !!!..Thanks in advance.

Invest in quality equipment and years of practice

Whole books are filled with tips on photography, so it's difficult to be concise. I find the best results come from thinking carefully about what you are seeing in the view-finder. Think about what it will look like when printed and try to frame it before you take it. Make sure the sun is towards the back of you to get the best lighting, and if you really want a good shot of a scene, don't be afraid to take lots of shots in order, hopefully, to get at least one good one. The main thing, I think, is to experiment and keep practising.

The first thing is to invest in some good lenses, look in amateur magazines these will often give ratings. Try to read them in store to save money. If you are shootinging in transparency use something like Kodachrome. Always use a tripod. Take your images either early morning (the best) or late afternoon. Never ever shoot midday. Look at lots of books, look for items on composition anything that mentions stuff like rule of thirds (an old trick) is on the right track. Try joining a night class but remember if you do, try to see the tutors work, many people who teach haven't touched a camera in years. look at other peoples work and don't be afraid to copy them, at first it will help you learn; and finally the people who submit to National Geographic have to send in many many hundreds of images on a certain subject from which only a handfull are chosen. Best of luck, keep taking photographics and remember in the long term plumbing is more profitable.
