Anyone remember a poem that goes something like:

The ash, the elm, the poplar tall,
The pear tree growing up the wall

I learned it at school - three hundred years ago - and it's driving ME up the wall, let alone the pear tree!

Any help would be very welcome.

Hello mwilson16. Sorry to take so long to answer. Have had computer problems for a couple of weeks now.

No, I have not had any luck finding this poem. I have had several tries at the sites advised but the wording is not specific enough to get me what I want.

Why not have a go too. I was intrigued to hear you are looking as well, as I was beginning to think I had dreamt it up. Even my long-time school friend doesn't remember it and she was in my class!!

Good luck with your search. I would be very happy to find out how you get on. Meanwhile thanks for your interest.
