I read a fictional book when i was at primary school around 1988 about two children (a girl and a boy) who were evacuated (possibly from London) during the war.
They were eventually reunited with their mother.
Does anyone know what it may be called?
sorry i haven't got any more info.

Devil monkey, thank you for your answer.
I just read the synopsis on Amazon for the book you suggested and it doesn't sound like the book i'm after.

The children in the book were brother and sister i think the sister was the eldest and it was either written from her point of view or she was the main character.

Saxy-jag it may be Carrie's war although the title doesn't sound familiar, i have bought it off amazon anyway just to be sure.
Even if it isn't, I'm sure you'll enjoy it in any case.

If it's not, and you do find you're looking for, can you let me know, please? Never one to shy from a good book.

I found a book called Back Home whilst searching for Carrie's War which could be the book i'm after so i bought that one too.
