Back in the 80's, I remember watching a comedy sketch show that had a section where a character named Shadrach would do a little monologue from the foot of his bed. The character was Welsh and always made me chuckle. I can't remember the name of the show though....any body out there remember?

I think it was Naked Video and John Sparkes had a character called Siadwell (Shadwell)
