I've written a song and I'd like it popularised. It's a kind of folky, rebel-type song. I don't play any instruments, not being musically talented that way, and I don't know any folk musicians. But it would be good to hear it played and maybe even become popular. I'm not doing this for money, though I would like to be credited as the writer.

set up a music myspace, upload your song/songs some pics and that, then start up a fan base. im sure after youve set up your myspace you could post your url here and get quite a few listeners. i for one love folk and would love to listen to what youve done.
Whereabouts in the country are you? It's a long shot, but I might just know somebody in the folk world in reach of you who might be able to help. No promises - though I do know quite a lot of folk musicians in various parts of the UK.
