I once owned a print called this, I suspect the original was by Pierre Doutreleau. It was one of the range sold by Boots in the 1960s. Does anyone rememeber it (or still have it) as I can't find any reference on the net.
Thanks
Tony

Hi Tony - yes, I have this print, and I think I probably bought it in the late 60s or early 70s - I don't remember the Boots connection, but you may well be right. It is a very beautiful painting (actually I seem to recall it was called Blue Town, but I may be wrong). And yes, there is no trace of it on the net, not even on Doutreleau's own website! It's in the attic now, in a very 60s stainless steel frame! - last time it was on display was when I was at uni in Aberystwyth in the 70s! - I'll ask my brother to take a photo of it when he's here next, and if you read this note, I'll gladly email it to you. Hope this message reaches you, rather late in the day. Best wishes, Peter

I have a numbered print by Dautrelau (#18) called "Blue Town) -- small 4"x6 1/4" and looks like his paiinting of New York. Very similar.
