(This is a rerun of a question I asked a while back in the main category. Didn't get any replies there - could it be that the real buffs dwell in subcategories only? Sorry to be such a pain in the proverbial but I really want that poster - if indeed it exists.)

I used to own a black-and-white photo postcard from a Martha Graham production where dancer Merce Cunningham comes flying through the air in one giant leap. A woman (Graham?) sits at her desk in a jaded pose studying his flight toward her as if she were assessing his flying techniques rather than anticipating his company. Cunningham's body is cram full with energy, he's like a spring just released; looking at the picture you feel he must surely bounce once he lands.

I'd love to have this photo on my wall as a poster but haven't been able to find it. I'm good at advanced googling but search engines do provide different results in different countries - so if you're in the mood for some googling and you don't live in Sweden...

Haha ..I think Dan and that other guy ...oohh what's his name ..think woman think .....would make a great double act ...the swingometer chap ...swing to the left ,swing to the right ........aaarrgh .........................Peter Snow !!
Dan always sounds as if he's got a frog in his throat ! I sometimes wish he would have a jolly good cough or suck a Strepsil.
Afternoon Each Whhhat!! Me get married again. Neeeveeerrrr. Sorry you'll have to find another excuse to get dressed up and have party.
Just to bring you up to date the Gman has decided he wants to try and rekindle his love life with his ex girlfriend can't say I'm sorry cos he did bore me a bit well a lot really lol. Tbag is still on the scene and I had a good time last night just relaxing and drinking red wine with him at his house. "A Ha" I hear you say, it was all perfectly innocent I might add.
I've actually been gardening this morning. Cut my front grass and tidied up the border. Can't be bothered to do the back just yet. Will have a go tomorrow if the weather stays the same as today.
I'm off for a cuppa tea now see you later :o) x

Afternoon, dawgs. Yes I can access My Profile, Neti, but I never did manage to upload an avatar. Are you really really sure there's something wrong? I mean, it isn't like that time when you thought there was a mouse in the oven, is it? Neti with mouse from oven (All right, okay, it's a canary, but still from your oven, Neti!) Get a man to click My Profile for you and it will open up no doubt; that's what it was always like when I was using the internet caf: I would try the same thing ten times before saying "it isn't working right", and when one of the boys from the staff came up and did it the same way it was like an Open Sesame. "But... that's what Idid", I'd squeak, and they'd smile tolerantly at me. I miss the internet caf :-(

What is this interest in ossuaries and cemetaries, Shaney and jno. "Alvar Liddell" sounds like a Swedish or Norwegian name, btw.

who died? (and how)

ooh Kit...cheeky! what were you looking for when you found that???????
Bit chilly and grey here today after a nice start. We went through the forest this morning for a long walk so the boys are currently flaked out having had lunch. I am having a quiet digest before getting out the carpet shampooer to get at least the top layer of mud off the hall and living room carpet.
Photos remain tiny....I have managed to repixelate some but I still don't know what i did....and seemingly neither does anyone else
Hi woofy

No Kit It definitely does not work!!
Alvar Liddell was indeed a Svede Kit although he was born in my old stamping ground round Wimbledon to Swedish parents .Tord Alvar Quan Liddell and he was a news reader on the BBC .
a'noon readers....
didn't I mention I can access all your profiles now neti?
here's Vinny's motto

never say never Jude....I said that about something once..... and then I did....

sounds like a lovely programme I missed but I was only in the mood for rubbish tv (yes again dear reader) - The Apprentice...& hereby lies my coincidence tale too....

....normally I'd have been outside with Chas before it started but I didn't & by halfway his eyes were popping out so up I got, flicked on the garden light & there was a little black cat on the yard. Off it shot & Chas did what he had to do & then I remembered having two leaflets through the door re a missing moggy 5 or 6 days ago. It kinda fitted the bill but I wasn't sure what to do...decided I'd never live with guilt of doing nothing so I called the number. A rather distressed lady came round but sadly we found no cat.
An hour ago same lady came to the door with a big bunch of flowers...she'd found puss shortly afterwards around the corner after walking around the road & calling her, just in case!!! hurraaaayyy!! She's sooooo happy ...so I'm happy for her & her family. The odd thing is, a string of events had meant the lady was at home & able to take my call.
Funny how things happen.

Oh that's lovely Robi!
I'm glad I remembered to hide the box of lion poo & supa-soaka water gun before she came round....haha
this is it, Kit

What's that, Neti? (I know you can click your own profile, woman, I was just being funny. I wasn't?) Oh no she's gonna shout at me agaaaaain....!

I wasn't looking for nothing, Woofy. Wish I could help you with your photos . (But I can't.) You can enlarge images on Photobucket but I don't believe that will restore the number of pixels to what they were, which is what you need, right?

Held my breath when I read that story, Robinia! I spent one long evening and the better part of the night outdoors once when my cat got lost, and just as I was giving up (for then) and going inside at the crack of dawn she turned up quite close to the door but looking almost feral. I felt she'd run away if I approached her so I just sat down, and she came to me, hesitantly, an almost wild animal after less than a day of freedom. And with a big wound on her belly, but that healed fine.

Good evening Shaney and jno. (Let it load, let it load.) I found Alvar Liddell on YouTube, announcing King Edward's abdication... that was a while ago. Now if you'll excuse me I'll just... you know, no offence or anything but before you turn that telly on again...

woofgang, is it photos already on your computer that have shrunk? If it's new ones, check that the settings on the camera haven't been altered.
as if woofy....ask any moggy around here

I'm splitting my sides here at the Lego Apprentice...hahaha, brilliant!!!

Hi Dolly was thinking of leaving you a message, and then I forgot!!

Hope all OK with you - weather getting cooler now?
Question Author
Hello Dolly, such a long time no see. That must have been the middle of the night for you??

"...there've been worse whiffs in here..." - yes indeed - remember my Danish cheese? Oh I wish I could let you all have a taste; "Black Sara" it's called (referring to the wax coating) and I just know some of you would love it - I just don't know which ones. But you have to love it or hate it. I was looking just now for some kind of description of it to post here, and I found an absolutely pornographic one, I thought of translating it for y'all but it's too embarrassing, ha ha! I don't suppose you people eat fermented herring either... It's legendary, but I've actually never even smelled it (they say you have to open the tin outdoors), they eat it in the north of Sweden. Northerners! Odd fish in any country...

Don't we all want money, Robinia, don't we all... but you sure ain't getting mine! Charlie, on the other hand, may soon be able to raise his standards of sleeping. Deal...? (The rest of yous: I've got a question in this sub-section called Turkish (?) bed, and Derby says the answer will cost me.)

oh stop

hey Dolly you're here at last! hope you're well

Charlie says he's coming to live with you Kit if that's the bed he'll have...I just turned round & he was lying down & staring at the back of my head but quickly closed his eyes. ...hahaha
