i recently read two books by Richard Montanari which i thoroughly enjoyed. "The Rosary Girls" and "The Skin Gods",both crime novels set in Philadelphia featuring detectives Kevin Byrne and his partner Jessica Belzano.
Thanks tyrepill read both of those and enjoyed them, think he has a new one out, might look for that
Meglet, the only true crime I have read is The Jigsaw Man by the criminal psychologist whose name I can't remember so if you could recommend some it would be great. Thanks
I have just read a brilliant crime novel by Laura Wilson ..
Stratton's War...set during ww2 .. lots of spies ,bodies and double agents . Bit of romance and a down to earth policeman who unravels naughty goings on in the war ministry !
Yes please support your local library ....I never buy books these days only reference stuff .Now we are retired they come lower on the list of prioritries .We have a really excellent library service here in Norfolk and I spend a lot of time on Fantastic Fiction wading through want I want to read and then reserve it on the library website for a modest fee..Most libraries now have a website where you can reserve books and make a wish list and they email when your books are ready for collection . Mr S .reckons I really get my moneys worth out of our council tax :)
I can't remember the last time I used our library. Used to go all the time when I first left home and when I was at school but just got out of the habit. Must go back. How long can you borrow for now, is it still 3 weeks?
Ours is three weeks tickled ...but with our service you can renew your books on line ..they only give three weeks on the latest ones ..you know the really bestsellers as there is usually a longish waiting list .I tend to look out for what is coming in and reserve it ..For example Lee Childs new book is not out until April but I already have it reserved .
