Book title needed

A furturistic, scifi, religious (don't know how to catogarize it) tale that involves a 'state' run church or spiritual temple. The main character questions the beliefs after finding a Bible or part of one. There is a love interest (she is pregnant) though it is not a love story. They escape to a place outside the city and live with others who have left the city. I know it is not much but I read it a long time ago. Thanks

Thanks Headtime but that is not the book. I have the Handmaids Tale and do like it. I wish I could be more specific about the book but I just can't remember.

Sci-fi written from a religious point of view suggests to me that it might be one of C.S. Lewis' non-Narnia novels. Again, a bit of a long-shot.
