Looking for a book title and author

I read a book about a woman who was obsessed with things that go missing after her school friend dissappeared one day. She became a private detective looking for missing people. During a search for one mans brother she goes missing herself. She finds herself in a place where she finds people that have gone missing. The place where lost things go.
Whilst she is missing the brother of the man she is looking for starts to wonder where she is after finding her car abondoned, only to discover that she often goes missing for long periods of time.
I would love to remember the name of the book if anyone can help. I read it either last year or the year before.
