recommendations for dance songs

I am coreographing a dance for my school which is to be performed by 13-14year olde with no experience. Are there any music buffs who can recommend any songsi could use whichave relatively simple yet powerful and varied beats, ones which aren't girly (being a guy). I am looking for something quite modern and cool. ANY ideas would be highly appreciated

thriller and any of the grease songs you could copy from the videos are always popular. on a more recent note, if all girls shirley bassey big spender remix or l in the chart now,low, which isn't to fast and has lyrics you could interperet, wearing my rolex. also american boy because it has a boy/girl section. good luck

Thanks for the response thus far. It can have lyrics yes. There really isn't much in the way of limitations bar that it must be a cool song, something my whole school wouldn't laugh at me for doing ha. Also, themed songs are perfect, as in songs that can almost be acted out as well as danced to, if that makes sense.

funny that. I am seriously consedering doing canned heat. And start it off with a maybe 20-30 second solo dance liek the one in that. Please people keep the suggestions coming
