woodelf- Thanks for your explanations regarding the words in your poems. Talking of amazing is your poetry- very evocative for sure!! Spring is my favourite season, also. Married in April on a sunny Saturday, 3 years ago ;-) Hope everyone here had the chance to watch the Channel 4 documentary last night-Miracle on the Hudson River- it was phenomenal!! No Ethel, Mum used to give me a clip round the ear or (fear upon fear) "wait till your father gets home"...smile - and it never did me any harm, except the memories of a sore backside....smile.

Okay B, will try that way round to view the article and yes, I did see/listen to the Hudson river plane thingy and very good too, as with most of these tv documentaries - and did anyone see the moving Terry pratchett two-parter recently too?

woodelf- Yes, the Terry Pratchett programme on Altzeimer's( focusing on his rare type) was most interesting agree. Terry Pratchett is a similar age to my parents, seems particularly cruel that a literary genius like himself ends up with Altzeimers, too + so very young. Yet, in a way it is positive that someone as high profile as him has this illness as hopefully this will then lead to greater funding/research which may even result with a cure in near future. Heart goes out to him, his personal assistant and his family, too, big time!Like erudite documentaries like these and the channel 4 one last night, for sure. Warmest wishes, Bea :-)
