Have any of you ladies had this done ?
I was in town this morning and there was a stand in the shopping centre and they were doing eyebrow threading for a fiver .I dithered :)
Does it hurt ? My eyebrows are nowhere near as thick and dark as they used to be these days but I was wondering if it might make them "look" neater and thicker.

Hello all
Not a bad day ,started of dull but brightened up now ,sunny and breezy .
Hope you biddies are all well.Nothing exciting going on here unless you call sifting through boxes of craft stuff exciting .At least I managed to ditch a large sackful of it .
Over and out for now
Yours
Bored stiff of Norfolk:)
Oh lawdy lawdy! I forgot the cottage pie was under the grill - it's black and cindery now!! I am getting forgetful!! Just hoping that I can scrape and/or chisel the top layer off and it will be edible! Have run out of spuds so can't resurface it!! I was too busy reading if Mia Farrow's son was Frank Sinatra's or Woody Allen's - that'll learn me to concentrate!!!!! (yes that is a deliberate grammatical mistake!!)
Lol Neti....Yep I'm sitting still and into knitting socks while I watch summat on telly or listening to music!!
afternoon or wateveritis...too bloody dark to decide, it's been dull, dull, dull and wet for some of it.
Oh silly neti, I love cottage pie, how dare you burn it?!

I've been sifting too...I found several boxes of hankies, some really pretty embroidered ones and some lace edged. Can you imagine giving a box of those to kids at xmas nowadays? I think you might be met with a mean stare, lol.

Nowt else to report..don't know what to have for tea....amen and out...even more bored than Mrs S of Norfolk

Turned dull here too now and raining .Bit chilly as well .
I inherited loads of hankies from my ma in law Robinia .Not something people use much these days are they? Some of them are really lovely .Brussels lace etc and hand rolled edgings .Some of them have obviously been brought back as keepsakes from various places .I can't bear to throw them away though .I still carry a clean hankie in my bag though although I never use it ....lol.
It's gourmet food here this evening ,meat and potato pies (not baked by me either ) and baked beans !
Then it's teevee and knitting for me too with the heating on by the look of it .
Well we have eaten it, not very tasty, he didn't dare moan. Quite honestly it was awful, but I don't like it anyway.

So hot here, we are all meaning, and the sweat is pouring down the old bod. Hija and I keep going in the pool.
My middle sis and sister-in-law use hankies. I have a man's one under my pillow, it's comfort thing.
Just had a swim, oh it is cold getting in but so lovely when in, but just swimming aimlessly bores me, so I get out again, once the bones are cold.
oight oight all
Oight Oight everybiddy..zzzzzz
finally managed to open my bottle of peculiar Latvian something. It had wax on top and a crumbling cork underneath. When I'd picked the bits of wax and cork out and strained the lot and had a sip, it was horrible, some sort of licorice thingy I think, and being 20 years old didn't help. So I've poured it away and am now sipping a nice miniature Jameson whiskey which is lovely and .... is peaty the word? I don't really speak the language of drinkpersonship.

After that I have two miniature gins to consume. What do you have gin with if you don't have tonic? Ginger ale?

Then there's a cassis, which I don't really like, and some more suspicious German drinks.

I'm not going to drink them all tonight, though, I'm really going to bed soon.
Good morning.

Wow jno has been on a drinksfest (sounds better than a bender!) I rarely if ever drink at home, and as I hardly ever go out, well, but when I do ..........

Seems a bit overcast today, hopefully the stinking heat has gone, just cannot take it anymore. I have bites on the top of one foot, and a heat rash under the bazooms. Woe is me!

Wonder what dinner I can burn today??????????
the heat wave seems to have ended here, several weeks ago in fact, that is why I need warming spirits. Could you get a little flame thrower for your cooking? Start with a creme brulee and work your way up to burnt veg.
I"ve got one of those little flamethrowers. they are jolly good fun in a pyromaniac sort of way. I have got up this morning with a noisy really noisy stomach. where did that come from?
Morning all, dull, dull, dull again. Crip night's sleep, awake almost every hour and not nice dreams in between so now I've got a wooly head full of rubbish, pah! I think I'll take up drinking.

Speaking of wooly I think I'll start looking for some winter knitting...but in the meantime I'll use my needles to give neti a poke every time she mentions her heat and sunshine.
Woofy my insides make so much noise at night I've sat up wondering where it was coming from.
Phew, it is still hot

equidistant as I am from Southampton and Derby, I get these amazing stereo effects

Bright and sunny at the moment but the forecast says it's not going to last and rain is the way for this afternoon ,so I'm nipping out as I have a yogurt and butter crisis and need to pick up a library book .Hope you're all Ok .
I'm knitting a fancy scarf at the moment in that Twinkle wool .It's lovely to knit with .
B*****! B*****! I've just spent 15 minutes writing my post. (it takes that long because of my crappy space bar and i't disappeared andnow I don't have time to write it all again. I shall return....
