Have any of you ladies had this done ?
I was in town this morning and there was a stand in the shopping centre and they were doing eyebrow threading for a fiver .I dithered :)
Does it hurt ? My eyebrows are nowhere near as thick and dark as they used to be these days but I was wondering if it might make them "look" neater and thicker.

Morning all
Bit of drop in the temperatures today .Just have to resign myself to the fact that summer is over looking at the outlook on Accu ...sob ...
However I hope you're all ok today .
Good luck at the doctors Jude .
it's still okay here but due to drop 5 degrees by tomorrow.

Fortunately our man has come round and is replacing the single glazing in our two outside doors with double, part* of my strategy for warming the house over winter. Just in time!

*the only part
Morning (just)...oooooh, how cold has it dropped?! I'm sobbing too shaney in anticipation of all the aches and pains returning :(
I've just ordered some wool, (baby moondust is short of wooly hats) so I'll hopefully have enough to do a couple of those trapper hats with a fluffy turnback peak... so cute... and some fluffy trimmed boots to match.

Just trying to imagine what a mache cast of my body would look like...?
....probably a straw :)
sunny here but much much cooler, most folk out in their cardis. So many flies, realy irritating.

Have decided to do a roast chicken dinner today, with my delicious runner beans and bacon, peas, carrots, mash and roast pots. Ahh winter!!!!
Afternoon All. Been to the Drs.and he suspects food poisoning. He has given me some sachets (Dyoralyte) of powder to mix and drink for dehydration and I've had to send the usual sample away.
I have managed to eat a bowl of porridge and just had a miniscule of baked beans ad 2 slices of toast. Fingers crossed I'm on the mend. I was going away on Friday but that wont happen now but there will be other times.
Robi I found it cold this morning.I thought it was just me but other people said they had noticed. I still have washing out blowing away in the wind.
Jno I hope you don't mind but I pronounce your name Juno.
I'm knitting more socks. A piar of bed socks for my friend for Christmas. That was her request so thats one present off my list. Just have to get knitting.
Hope you're all ok and thanks for your kindness to me.
It's Dioralyte. Nothing to do with the dress designer I presume :)
does it come in New Look packets, Jude?
Hope you settle down and feel better Jude, it takes it out of you. At the risk of sounding like a stuck record you should try Thomsons slippery elm food to re-line your pipes. In fact I think I'll ask tarquin to pick some up for me (his local health food store sells it) ...or I could order some online, it's best to be prepared for winter bugs. I've already got a stash of paracetamols, imodium and some buttercup syrup. I'd rather have a good dose of sunshine tho!
btw, seeing as we're in the salon here's a good product if you paint you nails...it works in seconds and smells lovely!

You might find it difficult to use on your toes unless you happen to be a chimp...
it takes it out of you

in fact it sends it out of you with great force. Jude, I hope your innards are calming down, I know how exhausting it can all be.
Yes its chilly here too, and grey. I have had a busy successful morning. Booked car service and water softener service, printed off card toppers and gift tag toppers for my next batch of cards to give for sale in aid of local hospice and done a grocery order. I am now sat with the dogs who aren't able to settle for a really good after lunch nap if I don't sit down with them.
Phoned my nice DIY man but his phone is turned off. He has a frail wife so I won't push it, he will know I have called.

Hope it soon settles for you Jude .No more chicken curries for you my girl !
You need a bit of stodge to bind you up .Have a nice suet puddin' :)
Seriously ,I hope you soon feel better xx
It's not turned out too bad here actually .Very windy and not exactly warm , after yesterdays mini heatwave , but it's bright and I got all me washing dry .
Ooh that looks interesting Robinia ....I may order that as an add on from Amazon as I have my eye on a knitting book .
You might like this Jude ...

I'm no good with four needles and only have one two needle pattern so it looks just the thing for me .
We had those pots of nail varnish remover here a few years ago but it dried up and I couldn't be bothered. But seeing that reminded me that I had to do my toe nails, so I trimmed them and removed the bright blue polish and painted them bright red, and then spilled the polish on the carpet!! Luckily Boxtops gave me a link as to ow to get it out of baige carpet and it has almost come out.
I did correct the word beige as it was submitting!!
Roasting pan didn't fit new oven so had to get some pliers and bend the rim so all OK now. Made sausagemeat and chestnut stuffing. Now sod being a domestic goddess am having a glass of vino!
neti adjusts roasting pan

thanks for reminding me Robi. I always keep paracetamol and ibuprofen in but yes I make sure that I have stomach remedies in for the winter.
I love the idea of baby Moondust in a deerstalker and fluffy boots. I don't do varnishing, it wouldn't last 5 minutes with gardening and dog leads.
Yes jno very similar, especially what I am wearing!!!!!

I always have painted toe nails woofy, the only bit of glamour left to me! Fingernails never grow as I scrub too much everyday!!

Well dinner wasn't up to much, and now I remember why I dislike roasted chicken, tasteless, and we get country corn fed chickens. Wish I had finished off the squashy meatballs cos they were delicious.
I try to stock up on winter remedies in England as the Spanish stuff is pretty much crap, I mean for flu there is cola tasting powders to take in cold water, yuk, just so not want you want when feeling ill! I shall stick to mother's blackcurrant jam, and sip it in hot water with paracetamol whenever necessary.
urgh, cola flavoured cold cure!!! I drink fruit tea and take paracetamol or ibuprofen rather than having the stuff mixed in.
Oight oight all.
