Prompted by a thread about womens make up/ beauty products I would like to ask male ABers how many of you have ever used 'Male Grooming & cosmetic products'?
I will admit to deodorant and very occasionally after shave but nothing else.
Do any of you use stuff like moisturizers and facial scrubs? or more to the point would you admit to using them if you did?
Oh, I did once try to dye my hair as my daughter wanted me to look younger for her wedding. It was a disaster my hair stayed silver grey but my scalp turned pink!
I am 63 in January as I would think age matters in this.

I also use Nivea after shave balm - but will try anything to try and stick the skin back on ...
Eddie, I think we might be waiting a while for all the raving metrosexuals to out themselves...

..unless you count using soapquote[and] shampoo as grooming ;)

anneasquith . most of us in my age group would consider that anyone who used that sort of stuff 'batted for the other side'.

soapquote?

Shampoo? washing up liquid is just as good and cheaper.
I find that a dab of swarfega and a squirt of WD40 does a good job.
MrAsks mother used to buy him aftershave that stunk awful and he always put it on before he went to see her. Some sort of Pine smell......., and before you say it it wasn't the pine disinfectant. Apart from that he was never into grooming products at all.
My OH uses moisturiser, as well as after-shave etc. He's 45.
as a teenager he had long dyed-black hair, eyeliner, earrings and tattoos. (the tattoos are still there, actually)
soap and shampoo

Eddies, you kidding, right?
I used to use a facial scrub, to aid in the shaving process - didn't notice too much difference. Used to wear Aftershave when I went out. Now use:

Anti-Perspirant / Deodorant (Lynx Attract)
After Shave Balm
i use nivea cream on my face and hands...and have done so for years...
Anything more than a splash of aftershave and a squirt of deodorant is just gilding the lily.
I don't even use shaving foam (I wet shave). I occasionally use aftershave and obviously use an anti perspirant / deodorant. But nowt else.

society, no if I run out of shampoo washing up liquid is just as good . No point in buying the expensive stuff either the supermarket 'value' range at 15p a bottle! I have never used shaving soap or gel either just ordinary soap and 5 'value razors' for 30p in Tesco last me 6 months (Unless the Mrs gets hold of them to shave her 'bits'.)

Badedas shower gel/shampoo
and a dab of E45 if anything looks a bit parched!
