Just wondered what your opinion is off what I'm taking for osteoporosis, 1200, calcium ,but new reports suggest not needed, and vitamin d,'but I've been searching websites and advice seems to be higher vit d,magnesium, vit k less calcium, my vit d test is normal but it should be higher,and calcium test normal, my spine is at 4.1 and hip2.5 but I don't want to start bisohorate as long term they don't look good and do not help produce new bone only slow done ocoblasts and of course bad side effects what's your thought s please

Let me stress Gypsy, I am not an expert in osteoporosis, treatment and management, but Slaney who is an ABer may be a better opinion

Treatment regimes differ, but mainly involve Calcium and Vitamin D.

1,200 mgms of Calcium with Vit D supplements seems to be an ideal dose and providing that you are symptom free, should not poses a problem.

Sorry that I cannot be more helpful as this is not my field of expertise.
