How do the stripes stay stripes in a tube of Aqua fresh tooth paste, even if the tube is twisted?

It's because the stripes are only made as the toothpaste leaves the tube........the 3 colours are held separately inside the tube, and as you squeeze, they all come out at the same time from inside, making stripes. If you cut open an old tube, you can see the different compartments inside :)
