Someone out there hates me. Not only is this my gcse year, not only can i currently not consume anything without it resurfacing a few hours later due to pesky stress virus or similar, not only does my 11 year old brother have a better love life than i do, but no, apparently they decided that this would also be the year for me to discover i have cellulite. At 16. 16!!! Does anybody else see this as being grossly unfair? This is clearly some sort of punishment; as i am not going out and doing what every other normal teen my age is doing, shagging everyone within a 4 mile radius, i developing cellulite so i will remain unattractive for all eternity!

Ok,so im over-exaggerating but im ill and hormonal. So i eventually get to the point, surely it is not normal for me to have cellulite at such a young age. And if it is, will it ever go away?!

its normal. there are various potions you can buy from chemists that claim to help it go away but I'd save my cash if I were you and go out and do what every other normal teen is doing!
And by the way..... it is all only going to get worse.

enjoy life!
damn, my advice looked irresponsible, but you're intelligent so I figured you weren't going to go out and have unprotected sex with hundreds of other teens. but try not to stress too much, remember you've got to relax and have fun as well as doing all the pesky coursework and revision. On a more helpful note exfoliating and moisturising won't make cellulite go away, but I reckon it helps and you probably notice it more than anyone else would anyway. cheer up x

All women get cellulite because our fat molecules are shaped differently from men's and our fat is closer to the surface of the skin.

Don't forget, every model or film star you see in magazines has had her photograph altered to diminish unsightly marks. I remember a top model from the early 90's getting upset when it was made known a cover photo of her face on a top magazine had undergone 50+ air brushing procedures before publication. Can you imagine how many there would have been for a swimsuit shot??

Female athletes get a less visible form of cellulite, but do you really want to spend every waking moment running, swimming and lifting weights?

On the positive side, drinking enough water to sail a ship every day may help.

I think i feel its some sort of responsibility to be bleak, but i try to be cheerful, honest! Im just glad to know that im not abnormal or anything. (Don't worry teag1rl, i figured "hey, d'ya wanna have sex, this bird off Answerbank told me to" wouldn't be a great chat up line anyway ;>)

its normal.....
