Which foundation do you recommend?
I probably looking for that perfect foundation that doesn't exist!
Basically one that has...
* good full coverage (to cover quite a lot of scarring)
* looks natural, not overdone or orange after a long day!
* and ideally helps with a slightly oily t-zone
I'm fed up of trawling round shops looking at all the different liquid, mousse and mineral foundations etc, so I thought i'd ask on AB. I'm kind of happy with my current one (Barbara Daly @ Tescos) but I still have to spend ages using concealor and want one that does both without caking it on!
I don't mind spending that bit more if it's an amazing foundation but any thought welcome
Thanku!

I get the superfit liquid and apply with a sponge to cover my few acne scars then I put on the double superpowder with a brush so it mattyfies and gives a nice smooth finish, but not too caked.
Its a little on the expensive side but when I try others I always end up going back to it.

I had to find a foundation with excellent coverage several years ago, when I developed facial ecxema. The one that did the job is made by a French company-Avene.It is a creme compact and is called '...Couvrance'.......it is in the specialist skincare section in BOOTS (larger branches).....I think it costs around 12.
God you sound exactley like me! I need foundation like this too, and am FED UP of wasting money on foundation which turns out to be rubbish.
I'm too embarassed to go to beauty counters and get them to test makeup on me though, I'd feel like they were looking down on me or feel pressured into buying it. I'm my own worst enemy I suppose.
How much am I looking at paying for Clinique foundation, girls?

Hi Suzie!
Just been on cliniques website-they're all 20ish
I second the whole beauty counter issue. Going to pluck up the courage but usually end up spending a small fortune, cus they make it all sound like a miracle cure!!
Also, I out-right refuse to take my make-up off in public (esp after how long it took for me to perfect it enuf to be able to leave the house!) So kinda thought they wouldn't be able to skin match any foundation anyway. Thought the free testers might be a good way to go tho

Argh that's exactley my problem, I'd hate to go into town with no makeup on I'd feel horrid!
Going to pluck up the courage on Friday though, my good ol' mum will be with me so I won't feel so bad!
I would pay 20 for a foundation if it was really, really good, it's just that once you get used to paying twenty quid for it they start saying how much better it is when used with this powder, and this concealer, and this blusher...
