Thanks for your help:)
half head is spread around the head or as client dictates. Veil hilites are top, front few. Either way the price is same as mixture used is same.
Half head is generally where they do your highlights in a T shape, ie they do the front section and down your parting, highlighting all the bits that are seen most when you have your hair done

Ive had highlights for years and never really saw the advantage of a half head (as tamborine says there's little price difference), except for saving a bit of time

Well in my hairdressers it's actually half the price of getting a full head done to get a half head...?? Tambourine, do they just use the exact same mixture and put the hi lites wherever you like basically but mainly the top? And thanks chazza!!
there is a recommended basic layout of hilites for coverage; some clients prefer front to occipital, or veil only. nb, When you have full dark base (dense color 2-5) have 6 hilites added to front - done together, could be free & saves time.

The mixture is the same quantity; only less foils used. When blokes have frosting-blonde tips (same mixture/product) maybe 2-3 foils used at 25% less cost of ladies hilites (only 'cause they're young) ;)
