Face packs

Right ladies
The sun is out the sky is blue and it may very well hot up a bit a bit soon which means less slap. .This winter has taken it's toll on my skin and in spite of exfoliating ,cleansing and whatnot it looks dingy to me .
I don't expect miracles at my age but just need something to brighten my skin a bit and make it look a bit fresher .Do any of you use face packs on a regular basis and if so what can you recommend .

Went to podiatrist yesterday about my knee, she reckons that shoe inserts will sort the rest of the problem but the gasp factor is that they are 40 quid a pair!!!!!! She says they last for about five years and she runs in hers...says her ankles are bad but she can run with the inserts in so if they work as well for me I will think its money well spent.....me running.....reminds me of the joke about the bloke going for an operation and asking the doc if he would be able to play the piano afterwards...."Oh yes" says the doc, "of course" "Thats odd" says the bloke "I can't play it now" boom boom!
Good Joke Woofy! I'm inclined to agree with Lottie and I would go to the NHS for for the inserts. They do sound expensive.
I've had a busy but entertaining day today. At Tai Chi there were only 6 of us when there are usually about 12. To be honest I found it better because it was quieter but I did miss my friends. One of them has just had a new knee and is recovering from that and my friend I lunch with, her husband goes in next Monday for his new knee.
Where we had lunch at one of our regular haunts one of the men who goes in there every day was 80 today and the landlady put reserved on the tables in the small room where we always sit so we could give him a bit of a do. It was lovely. She gave him a free lunch and one of the waitresses made him a lovely cream and jam sponge cake with candles on He loved all the fuss.
Then I came home and the sun had been on my front lawn and it was dry enough to give it a last mow and trim. Really pleased I did it now.
The after that i went shopping to Sainsburys.
So now I'm going to settle down and watch the Footie.
Have a good night everybiddy Sleep well,
See yer later 'gater(s)

Funnily enough we were talking about these ,this afternoon .
My brother got some shoe inserts on the NHS because of his dodgy knee which he's been having physio on and which he doesn't really want replaced if he can help it in view of the last shambles with knee number one . He reckons they help.
I now have a bottle of that Lidls parfum which SiL got for me ...it's quite nice .

Sounds a lovely party for the old gentleman Jude. What a thoughtful thing to do.
I have some of that Lidls perfume Shaney and quite like it. It's pleasant and not heavy at all - a nice light smell. I still love Armani Code better, but that is too expensive to wear for taking Megs for walks!!!
I am going to say an early goodnight and have a laid back evening. Not expecting Mr LL back for a couple of hours. Swedish meatballs in Cantonese sauce tonight with brown basmati rice. Frozen meatballs from Lidles and a jar of sauce which I doctor a bit with some extra soy and sesami oil. A no effort meal.
See you folks tomorrow - have a nice evening and a good sleep.

Evening all, where is Robi, hope she is OK!
Have just made and cleared away s/s chicken and veg and fried egg rice. Had a bath and now tucked up in front of the dvd watching yesterday's tv progs.
Did any of you see the photo of Mr N and myself that I put on here on the last page?
Dolly 's computer was beggared so have sent her a link to the biddies as she requested. I've updated her on most of our news.
Have installed my new dvd machine in the kitchen as I have 3 in the bedroom and now can watch Hancock (whom I adore) whist am cooking.

Yes I saw your piccie Neti ..very nice .
I keep trying to change my avatar but it won't work .I see on another thread they say to change your email .Well I'm not doing that so will remain blobby for now .
I like Tony Hancock too... The Blood Donor .A whole armful ? And the one with the library book ..hilarious .He used to be on late at night on Radio 7 ..I think it was .
They had lots of old radio comedy on but they seem to have changed it.
Either that or I can't find it anymore !
I'm going to watch some of my cop show DVD set shortly for an hour or two then wend my way to bed . Goodnight all.

hello all, yes, I've been admiring your photos, everyone looking quite cheerful in spite of the great domestic disharmony.
I have done my blood test and was able to have breakfast early this afternoon. But my heavens, it costs £2.40 an hour to park on the road outside the hospital, so there are leeches inside the hospital and outside. Plus I spent £60 at Sainsbury's, a large proportion of it alcoholic liquids, and got a petrol discount voucher.
But it's not an awful lot to show for the day, really.

For the 2nd night running I have gone to bed early, slept for about 2 hours and woken up all of a jitter with a racing mind, so have got up to make a cuppa and watch the box until tiredness kicks in again.
Sounds like you had a good day jno spending on alchohol and parking and blood letting!!
Neti, as usual your photo is great - you are very photogenic!!
Megs has come down with me and eaten the rest of her dinner, plus the rest of the cats dinner and is now reclined on the sofa on top of a couple of cushions.
Oh well, let's see what obscure channel I can find - perhaps 'The Sky at Night'!!
See you later.

Morning all, was up at 6.25 (5.25 in your time) to cook hija a breakfast and then Mr N and I took her to airport for her jaunt to Madrid, back home now and started cleaning everywhere. For some reason my No Frost fridge is frosting in certain places (?). Sun's just coming through, so washing is on. Quite like it when it is just Mr N and myself, house stays a whole lot tidier!
Catch yer laters.
hope Robi is OK!

You're right, our place instantly shrinks on Friday nights when jno jnr turns up the night before a rugby match. He's about 6ft 3 for a start.

Morning all
Nice bright morning .
Lol..I'm sort of dirty blonde Neti ....I had low lights put in last time by the hairdresser but they're fading a bit now
Usually if I colour at home I use that Perfect Ten by Clairol in Ash Blonde .It covers the grey well .I was very dark haired but am salt and pepper now .So the colour takes more on the greyer bits and sort of makes it look highlighted if you get my drift .
Hope everyones OK today ...come in Robinia ....you must have swept all those leaves up by now :)
I'm going to make goulash in the slow cooker ..I have a child coming
for a meal this evening .You need to stand on a stepladder to be able talk to him and I'm quite tall !
See you later .

Morning all...here I is.
I had a letter to say my bazooms had passed their MOT so I decided to celebrate by running topless around the co op...got arrested and have spent the past two days in custody...or was it custardy :o)
^^ some of the above is true :o)
Actually I've also been in so much pain I haven't known where to put myself and today being a dull, overcast one won't help me feel much better....feeling a bit SAD. :o(
Sorry things are getting you down shaney, hang on in there, it will get better. My ex was good for mashing taters (plenty of upper body strength) and he often did the fry ups and steaks...I think men are better with a frying pan than women. The only thing I used it for was walloping him when he came in late....(well I should have).
I always liked Paul best in the Beatles heyday because of his looks...I'm sooo shallow :o) Is he full of himself or just bloody proud of himself? I think I might be if I was as successful :o) I don't think anyone that sure of themselves would have been drawn in by Heather Mills...would they? My mum loved them but always thought George was the 'dodgy' one :o)
Well I won't be clearing leaves today that's for sure, I'll cosmically order a mowerer, it could do with a whizz over one last time.
