What is the best oil to soften wax in ears before syringing, Thanks

Warmed olive oil is supposed to work, but it is a bit messy I believe. I would ask the advice of your local pharmacist.
I agree with daffy....warm olive oil.

Agree with the others. I had some problems with my ears a couple of months back and went to get them syringed. Having been to the pharmacy 3 times and being told to use certain drops in my ears, the nurse avised me that there were not helping at all and they were aggrivating things. She said you should only every use olive oil. Also, if you plant on putting a bit of cotton in your ear after the oil, make sure you cover the cotton with oil too, so it doesn't just absorb what you have put in your ear.
i beg to differ, remember being told to use warmed olive oil years ago to no effect, then was told to use Bicarbonate of soda drops by the doctor, never looked back since.
