high fibre and low fat diet

hi all.... im going to a kettlebell class once a week and really want to get rid of my spare tyres on my back lol... been told i need to eat a high fibre low fat diet and stay off anything that is processed and to make everything from scratch..... does anyone know exactly what i should eat i am stuck for meals and dont know where to start eating high fibre diet

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.As above - various pasta dishes with wholewheat pasta. I`m not sure about avoiding processed though. I don`t eat processed food as in ready meals etc but there`s nothing wrong with ready made pasta sauces like pesto or tomato ones. Beans and pulses are also very good (chilli with kidney, cannellini or pinto beans), jacket potato with baked beans. You could make chick pea curry, lentil soup or just have salads and bulk out more fibre with a wholemeal roll/wholemeal pitta on the side. Dried fruit is also good for fibre but for God`s sake don`t be in anyone`s company after eating dried apricots :-)
