difflam
Bednobs is 'spot on'

Difflam (Benzydamine) is available as either a mouthrinse or a spray to use on isolated areas of the mouth. Available without prescription at any pharmacy. Should only be used for 7 days without consulting a dentist or doctor.

Thanks for answers but these have been tried with no help.
What condition are you trying to treat?
TCP, it tastes horrible but it works.
Glenfiddich. Not to be used when operating heavy machinery, or driving.
More seriously, if you are treating mouth ulcers, I always found Frador Tincture to be very effective.
See link. Media URL: http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/ate/ent/203635.html
Description:
adcortyl in orabase is fantastic for getting rid of ulcers mega-quick,you cant buy over the counter thought! you will need a prescription for it as it is steroid based!
I had them for years, they will always run their course, everything I tried here in USA never worked. You can get temporary relief with warm light salt water.
I know what you are going thru.

Morning, im trying to treat the ulcers that my daughter has for Behcet`s disease, they are very hard to treat and the hosp meds for them dont touch her.
Has your daughter seen an Oral Medicine specialist?
Question Author
No not an oral specialist, just a dermi and rhumatologist, plus an opthalmologist, should she then??
A dentist specialising in oral medicine would be the most appropriate specialist to deal with ulceration and other lesions affecting the oral cavity, and to advise on appropriate treatment and medication. You would most likely have to be referred to a dental teaching hospital rather than a district general hospital. Either your GMP or dentist could refer you.
All a complete waste of time so don't bother.

I have suffered from mouth ulcers on and off for many years. I have consulted my GP, my dentist, a number of so-called specialists and various "quacks". All agree that nobody knows what causes them and none of them can recommend an effective cure (even the "quacks").

I have my own cure. A large shot of Remy Martin, liberally applied to the infected area. It is absolutely crippling but cuts down the period of infection by about 50%. As a recompense it tastes quite nice as it goes down and numbs the pain.

The problem here being is that Behcet ulcers are different than normal canker ulcers, behcets is a life long chronic autoimmune disease, my daughter is currently in hospital for the third time in 2 weeks due to the ulceration which they cant seem to get under control unfortunatly.
has she been prescribed cocaine mouthwash?
when i worked on th heamatology ward, it was what they used to use for severe problems. I can't remember if it was allowed to be taken home or not though
there also used to be one that i can't remember the name of which coated the mouth, so that while the ulcers were still there, eating and drinking didn't hurt
